How does the CS100 or CS106 get wired to a Campbell Scientific datalogger?

For information about the signal and ground connectors, see Table 7-1 in the CS100 instruction manual or the CS106 instruction manual.

The following describes the wire connections:

  • The blue wire goes to a single-ended channel on the datalogger. (This needs to match the location specified in the associated single-ended measurement instruction in the datalogger program.)
  • The yellow wire goes to one of the ground symbols right next to the single-ended measurement channel.
  • The black wire goes to G next to one of the 12V channels in the Power Out section. (This is in the bottom left corner of the CR1000.)
  • The red wire goes to a 12V channel in the Power Out section.
  • The green wire goes to one of the control ports (C1─C8 to match the program). This control port turns the sensor on and off if the sensor is in shutdown mode (default configuration).
  • The clear wire can go in the same G as the black wire.
