CR3000 lose serial number (and board rev number partially)

Rene Oct 17, 2019 07:39 AM

after a factory reset due to a network problem (ftp) the status field 4 is zero and field 5 is 000.008 (previous 017.008)

the status fields are writte by the factory, now in the file header is zero serial number

It is a known bug in the CR3000 OS that under certain conditions the serial number field in settings can become corrupt. It should not affect your running program.

If you want the serial number restored in the CR3000, it would need to return to the factory.

Hi.. Is this a known issue with the CR1000 OS too??

I am just trying to rationalise our deployed loggers and using the Loggernet CSIXML to cross reference the type of logger, serial number, version etc with our asset database.. cr300 units match to known but the CR1000 are different?

have a spare logger on my desk and labelled sn 4118, dev config shows 3716..

loaded 32.05 OS at the moment

regards

Paul

We have not seen this issue in the CR1000. Make sure you are looking at the right serial number. The CR1000 has a serial number for the wiring panel and a serial number on the datalogger itself. The CR1000's serial number is on the can (silver metal) portion of the datalogger and is seen by looking at the bottom side of the datalogger.
