To better serve our customers, Campbell Scientific has modified some existing solar-sensor mounts and has developed a couple of new mounts.

The CM225 Solar-Sensor Mounting Stand attaches one pyranometer or quantum sensor to a crossarm, mast, or pole. To make it more versatile, holes were added for mounting a CMP6, CMP11, or CMP21 pyranometer, and for placing the sensor at different orientations. The CM225 is now compatible with all of our pyranometers and quantum sensors, and is compatible with several pyranometers and quantum sensors from other manufacturers.

Campbell Scientific is also modifying the 015ARM Pyranometer Mounting Arm so that it supports the same sensors as the CM225. The 015ARM attaches one pyranometer or quantum sensor to a tripod mast.

The new CM255 and CM255LS adjustable solar-sensor mounting brackets have replaced the CM245 for most applications. The CM255 includes slots that can be adjusted to any angle from horizontal to vertical. The CM255LS was designed for applications that need the sensor to be both level to the plane and in the perfect azimuth. It includes screws for leveling the sensor in a horizontal position. Once in the horizontal position, the mount is pivoted or tilted to the correct azimuth—assuming the crossarm is properly installed with a North-South orientation. The CM255 and CM255LS are typically used to attach a CMP3, CMP6, CMP11, CMP21, or LP02 pyranometer to a horizontal crossarm or vertical mast.
