RTMC Pro alarm email attachments

Hi,

Is it possible to attach a current chart or a current RTMC Pro page to an alarm email?

Thanks!

Have you looked at snapshots?  (Project -> Configure Snapshot & FTP)  You can output an entire page or individual components as images and then just set them up as attachments to alarm emails.

There is one minor issue with this method. Let's say you configure the Snapshot to output hourly, and you collect at 10min intervals. The alarm will reference the last snapshot available in the output directory and might not actually plot the values that are triggering the alarm.

Is there a way to output a snapshot with an alarm trigger so you can capture the data points that are triggering the alarm?

tmecham - thanks for the suggestion.  This looks like what I am looking for.

AMK - One way to ensure that the snapshot isn't too old is to configure Snapshot to update at the same interval as your collection.  This doesn't, however, eliminate the possibility of the snapshot having been updated to new data that is no longer out of range.  For this reason I will second your question.  Is it possible to save snapshots from alarm trigger events with a different file name than the non-event snapshots?

Also, it seems that snapshots will only update if Run-Time is running.  This seems uneccesary for me as I am only posting the web site currently.  Is it possible to have snapshots update without Run-Time up?

Thanks AMK for pointing this out.  To work around this, you would trigger the snapshot on new data with something like a 5 second delay.  Then add an event delay to the alarm of 15 or 20 seconds so that emails aren't triggered until your snapshot has had time to be processed and saved to disk.

Is there an event delay option for multi-state alarms?
