CR1000/CFM100 Error

jarlu Dec 16, 2016 04:36 PM

Hi,

I have recently inherited a wastewater monitoring system using a CR1000/CFM100 setup.  PH and flow data are being taken every minute, and a 5 minute average of the data is being sent to a Loggernet base station.  The CFM100 is showing the solid orange error status light, and an output card message "Data on Card is from a different program or is corrupted" is shown.

Approximately a year and a half ago, the program switched from one model of probes to another and updated their program for the new model.  From what I have read on the forum so far, it seems that if the new program used the same table names as the old that it could lead to the issue with the card.

Given the error message, is data only being stored on the CR1000 and not the CFM100?

What would be the next steps in confirming the hypothesis that the errors are a result of the updated program having the same table names?  If it is the case, how could I resolve the issue?

Thanks

When you have an orange light, no data is being written to the card.

There is a note on page 14 of the CFM100 manual that indicates what you should do when there is an orange light.

The card should be formatted to clear off old data, then reinserted.

The second video on this page will show you how to format a card using File Control in the LoggerNet Connect window.

Thank you both for the replies.  My current plan of action is to collect all data from the logger/card, format the card via Loggernet File Control to clear all old data, and then resend the program to the logger.  Let me know of any suggestions otherwise.

You don't need to resend the program. Once the card is empty, remove it and put it back in. The program should start using the card at that point.
